Why a New Hospital?
Over the last five years, the population of Brant County has grown at a rate of 10.8% and this continues to climb. People are choosing Brant County, Brantford, and surrounding areas to live and raise their families, and our hospital facilities are not equipped to accommodate growth at this rate.
Our out-of-date facilities cannot adequately serve priority populations including seniors, children, people living with mental health and addictions, and those requiring accessibility accommodations.
By building a new hospital we will be able to adequately serve our priority populations and the entire community, provide culturally safe care for the Indigenous populations we serve, and plan for the future of our community. We are building a hospital that reflects the brilliance of the people working inside. We are building a hospital that people are confident in. We are building a hospital for the future.
