As part of the Emergency Department Renovation Improvement Project, we are pleased to announce that the new Emergency Department (ED) Zone 8 area will open for patient care today (Monday, July 20, 2026).
Key features of the new ED Zone 8 area include:
- A new nursing care station with modern equipment and comfortable furnishings
- Two new extended stay beds in private patient rooms
- Two new mental health patient rooms with a centralized staff observation room
- A new patient/visitor washroom
- Refreshed corridor and kitchenette area
